The Face or Court cards:

It is important in the Bulgarian and Romanian method to choose a significator based on hair and eye colouring. To keep things simple among the 4 different methods, I am going to break tradition and have one system to describe the hair and eye colouring of the Face Cards.

Some notes:

The Scottish method is the only card system out of these 3 that does not require a significator card to be used as there is only one spread that was taught on YouTube.

The Polish method uses the significator in one of two the spreads taught via a blog post

The Romanian method has a unique take on the significator cards that I have not seen before. For a male you chose the King that best represents your hair or eye colouring. It is exactly the same if you are female, you would pick the Queen. Now here is the difference. Say you pick the King of Hearts as you are a male with light brown hair. Then the Queen of Hearts is your “Heart” and the Jack of Hearts will be your “Thoughts”. This will be discussed later when we go into spreads.

The Bulgarian system has also some interesting ways on looking at the Face cards.
A: if two Face cards are facing each other then they are sharing something of interest or are in relationship to each other
B: if two Face cards are not facing each other then they are quarrelling
C: if a Face card is first and then followed by a pip card then something is coming from that person
D: if a pip card is first and then followed by a Face card then something is shared with that person

Here is the new hair and eye colouring of the Face cards that I will use throughout my posts on learning these 4 methods.

Jack of Hearts: young man, sandy blond or light brown hair and brown, blue or hazel eyes.
Queen of Hearts: women with sandy blond or light brown hair and brown, blue or hazel eyes.
